The Newport International Polo Series has announced their 2018 betting trend schedule. Beach Polo is the first event which will be held on Febraury 17th and 18th with a start time of 2:00 p.m. ET at Easton's Beach at the 30th annual Newport Winter Festival. This two day outdoor polo exhibition is sponsored by The Hermitage Club at Haystack Mountain for the 27th polo betting season. The exhibition polo matches feature teams competing for 1 hour during low tide for 4 periods of play. Beach Polo is played by Newport Polo Club members and other regional contenders on thoroughbred polo horses. These polo horses are fit and trained for sandy footing in their natural habitats. This year France will be challenging the USA in a Beach Polo Expert Pick event.
The Vegas odds maker polo series season XXVII opening day begins on June 2, 2018 at 5 p.m. ET with the U.S.A. facing first time challenger Poland. Then on June 9th the Newport Cup
will be held which features local rivalry between top competitors. This years expert pick schedule includes teams from Scotland, Italy, Ireland, Morocco, Jamaica, England and India as well as teams from Baltimore, New York, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Palm Beach and Boston. The Independence Cup
will be held on June 30th and features the Red States vs the Blue States. On August 3rd at Rosecliff in Newport RI, the 18th annual International Polo Charity Ball, Midnight in Marrakesh will be held. This black tie event is held at one of the Newport mansions and attended by up to 400 persons who welcome the international guests of honor, Moroccan Polo team, in support of the 2018 beneficiary which has not yet been announced.
The New England Pro-Am is scheduled for September 23rd and the Finals on September 29th. The Finals are the conclusion of the Newport International Polo betting Series where the home team faces its toughest regional rival. The International Polo Grounds are located at historic Glen Farm, 250 Linden Lane, Portsmouth, RI.
