tcu-cheerleader-picksWho will win the ACC, Big 10 and Big 12 Conferences in 2011?

Even if you play poker online, you may dabble in College football betting and right now, the most realistic way you can do that is on college football since the NFL is in the midst of a lockout. Here is a preview of the top five conferences in the land, and it’s shaping up to be an exciting 2011 campaign.

ACC

Virginia Tech has won three of the last four title games, including last year’s 44-33 shootout over Florida State. The two College Football Odds favorites at +175 to take the ACC this season, while Miami looms at +400 and North Carolina comes in at +650. All signs are pointing towards the NCAA football betting favorites to meet in the championship game in Charlotte again, and Florida State is even garnering attention as a possible darkhorse for the national title, but from top to bottom, the ACC isn’t that strong.

Big Ten

Nebraska’s entrance into the Big Ten should make life interesting in the nation’s oldest conference, and there will be a championship game for the first time as well. Nebraska comes in from the Big 12 as the +150 sports betting favorite, while Wisconsin is close behind at +175 after their loss to TCU in the Rose Bowl. Penn State is listed at +400, while Ohio State is an intriguing +500 after the offseason they’ve had in the face of violations, firings and suspensions. Michigan State at +800 and Michigan at +900 wraps up the conference.

Big 12

Oklahoma is favored at -250 to take the Big 12, and they’re also the favorites to win the BCS championship as well; winning the conference will be a huge step towards those aspirations. Texas A&M comes in at +300, while Texas sneaks in at +500 and Oklahoma State is listed at +800. In the Big 12, you may find more future NFL picks than in any other conference, but the Sooners are clearly at the top of the class.

Pac-12

After losing to Auburn in the BCS title game, Oregon is favored at +125 NCAAF Odds to win the expanded Pac-12, which has added Colorado and Utah, who enters at a solid +500. Stanford is rated at +250, while Arizona State comes in at +450 and like the Big Ten, the Pac-12 have a title game for the first time, although many feel that the winner of the North, Stanford or Oregon, will take the conference crown.

SEC

The SEC has won the last five national titles, so the conference champion usually heads to the BCS title game. Alabama is favored at +170, while Florida may be overvalued at +175. LSU comes in at +450, while Georgia is an interesting pick at +500 and South Carolina is listed at +650 after losing to Auburn (+3000) in the SEC championship game. Four different teams have won in the last four years, so this will be a tough call for online sports betting players.
