NCAA College Football Week Twelve Predictions: Oregon vs. Arizona

In a PAC-10 game with BCS title game implications, #1 Oregon (10-0) hosts #21 Arizona (7-3) during week 12 of the NCAA college football season. Vegas has installed the Ducks as -19 1/2 point favorites at home.
After battling California in a tense 15-13 win two weeks ago, the Ducks are rested and ready for their tilt against Arizona. Despite averaging 542 yards of total offense and 50.7 points per game, Oregon was held to just 317 total yards and 15 points in their win against Cal, and needed to defend a 2-point conversion in the fourth quarter to win the game. Nevertheless, the Ducks are still loaded with the combo of Darron Thomas at quarterback (27 TDs) and LaMichael James at running back (1,422 yards, 17 TDs), not to mention a defense that has allowed just 17.2 points per game.
Arizona enters this game on the heels of a two-game losing streak, with defeats to Stanford and USC in the past two games. The Wildcats feature a stingy defense, allowing just 18.1 points per game (12th in the nation) and this game will be a test of the Arizona defense against the #1 Oregon offense. The Wildcats also feature a top passing attack led by quarterback Nick Foles and receiver Juron Criner, who has 982 passing yards and 6 TDs.
Arizona could hold the Ducks down again on offense so look for a game that is closer than the Vegas spread but Oregon should prevail with a date against Oregon State the only remaining obstacle between Eugene and Glendale.
