Who would have thought a trip to the tattoo parlor would result in anything more than maybe an infection or a scolding from your mother? Well, turns out The Ohio State University will be without five of their star players next season after the NCAA found the players had committed a whole array of NCAA violations for receiving improper benefits and selling NCAA merchandise. Quarterback Terrell Pryor, running back Dan Herron, wide receiver DeVier Posey, All-Big ten offensive tackle Mike Adamsn, and DT Solomon Adams must sit-out the first five games of the 2011 season, including games against Miami, Colorado, and a conference game against Michigan State. All because the players were alleged to be given tattoos, which could range up to $50 a pop, though Pryor Tweeted that he paid for his tattoos. Pryor, though, has bigger problems. He sold some expensive NCAA hardware, including a Big Ten championship ring and a good sportsmanship award, ironically, and some personal belongings including game pants and a jersey. In all, Pryor must repay $2500 for the sold goods while the other players have to make remittance of anywhere from $1,000 to $1,500. The players are eligible to play in the upcoming Sugar Bowl against Arkansas but their absence will hurt the Buckeyes chances in 2011. Morale of the story? Wait until you are out of college before you sell your stuff and avoid tattoo parlors at all costs!
