NFL Predictions - Ravens vs. Panthers Week 11 NFL Picks & Vegas Odds: The biggest point spread on the Vegas boards during week eleven of the NFL season belongs to the Baltimore Ravens (6-3) versus the Carolina Panthers (1-8). Vegas has placed the Ravens as -11 point favorites on the road.

Carolina is saddled with the worst passing offense in the NFL and, with injuries Jimmy Clausen and Matt Moore out at quarterback, the Panthers will likely start rookie Tony Pike against the Ravens, making a bad situation even worse. Pike is strong and athletic, but Baltimore can even make veteran signal callers look silly. To their credit, the Panthers have hung around most games and possess one of the best pass defenses in the NFL, but this will be a tough match-up for a banged-up squad.

Baltimore is coming-off a disappointing 26-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in a game that let slip through their fingers. The normally reliable defense was shredded by the Matt Ryan – Roddy White combination but they should no problems containing Carolina, especially with safety Ed Reed back in the line-up. He already has three interceptions, more than anyone on the team, in just three games. Furthermore, on the year, the Ravens have allowed 16 offensive touchdowns, while the Panthers have only scored 9 all season. On offense, Joe Flacco has thrown 15 TD passes but, if he has problems against a top-flight secondary, the Ravens will be happy to run the ball with Ray Rice and Willis McGahee.

The Panthers have been competitive late in games but the Ravens should have no problems with this out-gunned opponent and should easily cover the Vegas spread.
