Vegas Spreads on the 2012 Super Bowl - Giants vs Patriots Predictions: The 2012 Super Bowl features the best of the NFC and AFC and heading into next week the Giants vs Patriots predictions will be off the chart. From experts to your favorite celebrities, the 2012 Super Bowl predictions will come from every angle including from this site, Vegas-Spreads.com. So with that said, let's take a look at the current Vegas spreads so we can get right to my Giants vs Patriots predictions.

The Las Vegas odds makers set the 2012 Super Bowl opening lines favoring the designated home team as the Vegas betting favorite. If you dd not know the New England Patriots have that designation in the 2012 Super Bowl and have been listed accordingly with a -3.5 point spread. Do the Patriots deserve the Vegas spread? In my opinion, yes they do, the Patriots head into the 2012 Super Bowl with a 17-5 record which includes preseason. The Giants on the other hand fared slightly worst with a 14-9 record, also including preseason. That fact alone puts Vegas odds makers in the position to post the Patriots as the 2012 Super Bowl favorite.

Since the Patriots are listed as the Vegas betting favorite clearly because they're a better team, these teams have faced off against each other four times since 2001 and the head-to-head matchup shows these two teams even. The Giants won 17-14 in Super Bowl 2008 and once again in November of 2011 with a 24-20 victory. That makes things interesting doesn't it. The patriots are the Vegas spreads favorite but are even in head-to-head matchups over there last 4 meetings.

Like I mentioned before these two teams have met four times, one of which was Super Bowl 2008, when the Giants pulled off a huge upset. Sports betting fans were sure the Patriots would finish off the season without a single loss and they did not. It hasn't been that long since these two teams faced off in a Super Bowl picks contest and I believe the Patriots are still holding a grudge, so much so, I do not believe the Giants will get away with it twice.

So, for that fact alone, my money is going down on the Patriots to cover the spread by a touchdown or more.
