Week 5 NFL Vegas Odds - Who is this weeks NFL Betting Favorite: It's been an exciting 2011 NFL football betting season and the Detroit Lions head into week 5 with a 4-0 record and along with another suprise the Buffalo Bills. Which of these teams is the NFL betting favorite heading into week 5?
The Detroit Lions will not be a part of Sunday's NFL lineup as the Lions face the Chicago Bears on the first Monday Night Football predictions matchup without the theme song by Hank Williams. ESPN has officially dropped Mr. Williams from it's Monday Night Football lineup after a comment he made about president Obama. Many think that ESPN's position on the comment has gone overboard and Hank Williams Jr.'s apology is just not enough. Sorry Hank, but making an anology or referencing Hitler and president Obama in the same sentence is not politically correct, shame on you.
The Detroit Lions head into their Monday Night Football picks contest versus the Chicago Bears high on a 4 game winning streak including a 34-30 come-back victory over the Dallas Cowboys in week 4. Mathew Stafford has found the right combo as the Lions rallied back from a 20 point deficit, Stafford threw 21 of 43 for 240 yards versus the Cowboys, of which 2 passes came in the fourth quarter. Stafford connected with Calvin Johnson with 1:39 remaining giving the Lions a 34-30 win over Dallas. The Lions are currently posted with 12/1 Vegas odds to win Super Bowl XLVI according to the NFL odds makers at Bodog.eu and are posted as the Monday Night Football picks favorite versus Chicago as a -6 point NFL odds favorite.
The Buffalo Bills are also a surprise to NFL bettors this season. The Bills head into their week 5 NFL predictions contest versus the Philadelphia Eagles listed as the -3 point Vegas NFL odds favorite. The Bills are coming off a 23-20 loss to the Bengals after defeating the New England Patriots 34-31 in week 3.
