Boise State is poised for a BCS bid but to play for the National Championship in Glendale they will need at least two of the three undefeated teams to lose, and even then there are no guarantees. Such is life in the Western Athletic Conference.
The Broncos demolished their in-state rivals, the Idaho Vandals, last Friday night, 52-14, and have dominated their conferences foes all season. Boise State wins by an average of 47-12 and are led by Heisman Trophy candidate Kellen Moore, who has 24 TDs against just 4 INTs. Doug Martin is a weapon at running back while Titus Young leads the team in receiving yards.
Fresno State can put-up some points of their own. The team averages 34.7 points per game, good for 23rd in the nation. They defeated Cincinnati from the Big East in week one and lost by one point to #21 Nevada last week. The Bulldogs feature a powerful running attack with Robbie Rouse, who has 944 yards on the season and 8 rushing TDs, and a diverse passing offense with Ryan Colburn at the helm. Colburn has thrown for 18 touchdown passes this season.
With a spread this high, the temptation is to pick the Vegas Odds underdog, but Boise State scores in bunches and rarely takes the pedal off the gas. Look for Boise to cover the Vegas spread and win this game by a wide margin. College Football Picks & College Football Predictions Boise State is the right call tonight.
