Most of the top middleweights in the UFC have UFC Fighters lines up, which means Brian Stann - who moved a step closer to what he holds in his TKO win over Jorge Santiago Saturday night at UFC 130 - will have to wait to find out who he will get for his next opponent. But he shouldn't wait long, maybe just a few weeks.
The most logistical match-up for Stann would be the winner of UFC 131's bout between Mark Munoz and Demian Maia on June eleven. Maia is ranked No. six on the ESPN Power Rankings.
If Munoz were to win, that may be 3 UFC wins during a row dating back to November when he beat C.B. Dollaway at UFC 123. If it's Maia, he'd even be on a three-fight win streak. This is precisely where Stann is after the big win over Santiago, and it is the only logical boost up in competition out there to him.
"The All-American" continues to improve each time we see him in the octagon and probably get another 10 middle in his next fight in UFC, potentially for a number one contender position. UFC Results: Brian Stann TKO vs Santiago What's next for Stann?
