Las Vegas odds makers have the Atlanta Braves as -145 favorites to win Mondays’ game in Atlanta against the San Francisco Giants. If the predictions hold true there will be a fifth and deciding game in Frisco on Wednesday. This game will be the second game five in the MLB Predictions’ post season, as the Tampa Bay Rays play the Rangers in Texas to determine who will face the Yankee’s in the ALCS.
The Braves have a mountain to climb if they hope to advance to the NLCS, if they win on Monday, they will have to face Giant’s ace Tim Lincecum in San Francisco on Wednesday. You can’t just hand it to the Giants at this point. The Brave’s have had a knack all season to step up to the plate and get the job done when it counted most....Now it’s time to face reality. There is no way the Brave’s are going to beat Lincecum in game five.
The Giants have extra motivation to finish off the Braves in Game 4 on Monday. If they get it done they will have Timmy ready for game one of the NLCS in Philadelphia against Roy Halladay and the Phillies. Both the Phillies and the New York Yankee’s swept their series and are tuning up for the next round.
It’s hard to imagine, but Starting pitcher Cliff Lee and the Texas Rangers are Vegas odds underdogs at +110 to win on Tuesday, I know Tampa Bay is at home and David Price is scheduled to start for the Rays, but Cliff Lee is the Big Ticket. In the end, I don’t see the Brave’s, or Giants getting past Philadelphia there’s just not enough offense on either team. The Rangers and the Rays will have an equally hard time getting past the Yankee’s as they have flipped their magical switch to World Series mode.
