Kansas City had been perfect against the spread and in the win-loss column until their 19-9 2010 NFL Picks loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The Chiefs could only muster 261 yards in total offense, were 1-10 on third down conversions, and 0-2 in the red zone as Kansas City could only must three field goals after scoring 31 points against the 49ers the game before. Jamaal Charles had 87 yards but Matt Cassel could not get anything started on offense and managed just 156 passing yardage. The Chiefs defense did well in the game, holding down Peyton Manning and his passing game, but had trouble stopping the Colts on third down.
The Texans, who were one of the top offenses in the NFL going into their game with the Giants, really struggled against New York and must regain their mojo and quickly. Houston was stuffed in the running game and Matt Schaub was held to under 200 yards and no touchdowns. Defensively, the Texans were torched by Eli Manning to the tune of 297 yards and three touchdowns. Houston will look to get back on track in this NFL Week 6 Picks matchup.
Fortunately, for the Texans, Cassel is not Schaub and the Chiefs passing game has a long way to go to be feared. Houston can get after the quarterback with Mario Williams so the Chiefs will need to run the ball effectively. Kansas City, on the other hand, has played very well defensively, holding down Peyton Manning last week, and, if they can make the Texans one-dimensional, can hold down the score.
Looking at the NFL Week 6 Predictions, we Look for the Texans, like the Colts the week prior, to make enough plays to cover the spread and get back on the winning track at home. NFL Week 6 Picks Bet on Houston Texans and beat the Las Vegas Odds makers.
