Atlanta, riding a four-game NFL Predictions winning streak, was beaten last week by the Philadelphia Eagles 31-17 as the Falcons committed two turnovers and went 4-14 on third down. Michael Turner had an ineffective day running with just 45 yards but Turner should find more running room against the Bengals, which rank 18th in the league in rushing defense. Turner has gained 466 yards on the ground but has only 1 rushing touchdown. The Falcons would like to see their big running back get in the end zone this week. Matt Ryan has thrown 9 touchdown passes with three to wide receiver Roddy White and tight end Tony Gonzalez. Michael Jenkins returned last week and caught five passes for 99 yards. He could be another weapon for Ryan this week.
The Bengals have played well in pass defense, allowing only 6 touchdown passes while intercepting 7 passes. They have, however, given-up 14 pass plays of 20 yards or more. Cincinnati, however, has only compiled six sacks and they’ll need to put pressure on Ryan. On the other side of the ball, Palmer has been inconsistent and has been challenged trying to get both Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco the ball. Cedric Benson has also been inconsistent in the running game. The Falcons were burned by the Eagles receivers deep and they will be without their best cornerback, Dunta Robinson, who is out with a concussion after a vicious hit last week. Palmer will test the Falcons secondary and look for safety Thomas DeCoud to have a big game. 2010 NFL Predictions Vegas-spreads.com say's make a Bet on Cincinnati Bengals plus the points.
