2010 NFL Picks Pittsburgh Steelers vs Miami Dolphins NFL Predictions & NFL Odds - The big news in Pittsburgh this week has been the $75k in fines the NFL levied on linebacker James Harrison for his helmet-on-helmet hit against the Cleveland Browns’ wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi. The Seelers, though, have the #1 scoring defense in the NFL and the Miami Dolphins will have to contend with more than just Harrison when the two AFC contenders meet in week 7 NFL Predictions & 2010 NFL Picks matchup.
Las Vegas NFL Odds makers has installed the Steelers as -3 point favorites on the road. Pittsburgh has won four straight NFL Picks games against the Dolphins, including the last three NFL Predictions games in Miami.
Pittsburgh (4-1) has been punishing opponents on defense all season. The team has gotten after the quarterback with 17 sacks, including 5 by Harrison, and have forced 15 turnovers, including 8 interceptions. Linebacker Lawrence Timmons has been a forced this season, leading the team in tackles to go along with three sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble. LaMarr Woodley has been effective as Harrison’s partner on the other side at OLB, and Troy Polamalu leads the team with two interceptions. The defense also gives-up around 60 yards a game in rushing, which, of course, is one of the staples of the Miami Dolphins (3-2) offensive attack.
The Dolphins have relied less on the Wildcat offense, though running backs Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown are still the main focus of the offense. Not this week. The Dolphins will try to run but the Steelers’ will shut that down and Chad Henne will be forced to look for Brandon Marshall and Davone Bess, which may not be a bad thing since the Steelers possess the 24th ranked pass defense.
Miami’s defense will be forced to reckon with not only Rashard Mendenall but the return of Ben Roethlisberger who threw three touchdown passes against the Browns last week. Roethlisberger makes the Pittsburgh offense more dynamic and look for Roethlisberger to have a big day against a defense which has only four interceptions on the year.
The Steelers are just beginning to round into shape on offense and Roethlisberger makes them a dangerous team. Look for the Steelers to cover the Las Vegas NFL Odds on the road and win again in Miami. Vegas-spreads.com NFL Predictions & 2010 NFL Picks Bet on Pittsburgh Steelers.
