NFL Predictions Week 10: NFC WEST Betting Odds & NFL Picks: The NFL’s NFC West may be regarded as the league’s weakest division, but in the upcoming weeks of the NFL predictions schedule it may turn out to be the most exciting. The Arizona Cardinal’s made it to the Super Bowl picks contest two years ago; the fight for the division title will be intense. There will be no wild card team coming out of the West.
Sunday’s Week 10 NFL predictions matchups has the third place Cardinals (3-5) at home against the tied for first place Seattle Seahawks (4-4). The (also tied for first place) St. Louis Rams (4-4) play in San Francisco against the 49er’s (2-6) in a NFL predictions week 10 match-up.
Las Vegas odds makers have listed the 49ers as -6(-110) pointNFL picks favorites to win Sunday’s week 01 NFL predictions contest. St. Louis hasn’t won a NFL picks match-up on the road in 2010 but, out of their four losses, three of them have been by four points or less.
For San Francisco this NFL predictions season, the injury to starting quarterback Alex Smith may have been a blessing in disguise. Back up QB Troy Smith (2006 Heisman winner) was 12-19 and passed for 196 yards while throwing no interceptions in the 49er’s 24-16 win over the Denver Broncos in week eight. Both teams are coming off of their bye week. Look for a San Francisco victory, but for St. Louis to cover the spread. Coach Mike Singletary’s team may be finally hitting their stride.
The Arizona Cardinals are the NFL picks favorites at home to beat the Seattle Seahawks in week 10. The Cardinals can tie Seattle for first place or, tie for second if the Rams beat the49ers. Both Seattle and Arizona have had problems at the quarterback position in the 2010 NFL predictions season. The Hawks Matt Hasselbeck is ranked 30th and the Cards QB Derek Anderson is ranked 31st out of 32 NFL QB’s. Both QB’s have been plagued by interceptions this NFL predictions season. Hasselbeck may have resurgence against the Cardinal’s porous defense as they gave Minnesota’s Brett Favre a career best 446 yards passing in week 9.
You can bet that this NFL predictions contest will boil down to which teams perform best on the special and kicking teams. The Cardinals (#1) LaRod Stephens-Howling and the Seahawk’s Leon Washington (#5) are among the league leaders in kickoff return yardage and both have returned two kickoffs for touchdowns this year. LaRod and Leon may not get too many chances if the starting QB’s can’t get into the end zone.
This leaves it to the field goal kickers to decide who will win these NFL picks match-ups. The Cardinal’s Jay Feely vs. the Seahawks Olindo Mare, this game is a coin flip. The NFC West may also be decided on a coin flip in the NFL Predictions final game of 2011.
