New England (7-2) is 4-0 at home and is coming-off a big 39-26 road NFL Picks win against the Pittsburgh Steelers, once again showing their dominance against that franchise. The Patriots, though, have lost five of six games in the series and this could be a tough match-up for New England. On defense, the Patriots rank 30th in pass defense and, oh yeah, that’s Peyton Manning calling the signals on the other sideline. Of course, the Pats can counter with Tom Brady. Even without Randy Moss, Brady has thrown 17 TD passes, including three last week to unknown tight end Rob Gronkowski, who leads the team in TD receptions. The Patriots haven’t run consistently all season, but they never seem to do that, nor have they needed to over the years.
The Colts (6-3) rank third in the NFL in passing yardage despite losing some key receivers, including tight end Dallas Clark and WR Austin Collie. TE Jacob Tamme has done a great Clark imitation and Reggie Wayne continues to catch balls, despite only three touchdown receptions this season. Defensively, the Colts have been tough against the pass. Kelvin Hayden has two interceptions, including two touchdown returns, and Indianapolis has only allowed 11 touchdown passes all season. As they usually do, though, the Colts have trouble defending the run, though that shouldn’t matter against the Patriots.
The Colts have had a history of winning against the Patriots but New England is on a roll and should cover the Vegas spread at home. NFL Week 11 Picks Bet on New England Patriots.
