The Aaron Rodgers versus Tom Brady match-up may never materialize this weekend as the Green Bay Packers (8-5) visit the New England Patriots (11-2) in a five-star match-up during week 15 of the NFL season.
Rodgers, who suffered a concussion against the Detroit Lions last week, failed to practice on Thursday and could be ruled out for the game against the Patriots. Green Bay desperately needs a win after falling to the Lions, 7-3, but this is a tough week to be looking for a victory.
What to say about New England? The Patriots have won five straight games and the past three weeks they have defeated the Lions, Jets, and Bears by scores of 45-24, 45-3, and 36-7 in a Chicago blizzard last week. Dominating has been the word to describe and no one has been better than Brady. Brady has thrown 29 touchdown passes against just 4 INTs, and, in his past six games, has thrown 17 touchdowns against 0 interceptions.
Green Bay has lost 2 of their past 3 games and the team is in real danger of falling out of the NFC play-off picture with a loss. If Rodgers can’t go, Matt Flynn will get the start. Flynn did okay last week but he could not get his team into the end zone and he can’t afford to be ineffective against Brady.
This game is off the boards in Vegas but you have to like the Pats, especially if Rodgers is a no go.
