Who is James Starks and why should you care? Well, if you are a fan of either the Green Bay Packers (13-6) or the Pittsburgh Steelers (14-4), you’ll want to get to know the rookie running back that has made a splash in the Pack’s run through the NFC this postseason.
The first thing that you need to know about Starks is he was drafted 193rd overall in the 6th round of the 2010 NFL College Entry Draft by the Packers. He possesses good size at 6’ 2”, 218 pounds, and seems to have some moves. Starks is a virtual unknown, a running back from Buffalo that no one has ever heard of, and burst upon the NFL scene quickly after being activated from the PUP list by the Packers in early November.
Starks barely played in the regular season – he carried the ball a total of 29 times – but he has been a key to the Packers run to the Super Bowl. Consider:
