The New England Patriots announced today that Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski will remain on the sidelines for the entire 2013 NFL Preseason schedule and will not play in the NFL schedule opener on September 8th, 2013 versus the Buffalo Bills.
According to recent reports Gronkowski underwent surgery for both his back and forearm and will continue his rehab well into the first few weeks of the 2013 NFL schedule, no doubt, a dissappointing situation for fantasy football players. The Gronk is a leathal red-zone weapon for the Patriots and has earned 29 TD's over the past three seasons.
The New England Patriots have been the focus of Vegas betting fans all preseason with the acquisition of Tim "The Preacher" Tebow. Heading into week 3 of the NFL preseason schedule Tebow has made several appearances and has yet to win the support of the hardcore New England Patriot fans. The Patriots have earned victories in both of thier preseason NFL picks contests, but tebow has failed miserably earning a 0.0 QB rating heading into week 3. This week the New England Patriots will face the Detriot Lions and Vegas NFL odds makers have the Patriots posted as a +1(100) point spreads underdog.
If you have any "uh hum" faith in Tim Tebow, this may be your only opportunity to bet the Patriots as an underdog this 2013 NFL schedule.
The New England Patriots are currently listed as a Superbowl odds favorite with 9/1 betting odds to win the Superbowl in 2014.
