Heading into this week 6 Thursday Night Football Vegas odds matchup, the Denver Broncos remain tied with the Oakland Raiders atop the AFC West, while the San Diego Chargers take up the rear at a dismal 1-4.
The Broncos are coming off a loss to the Atlanta Falcons which could be an indicator of a potential upcoming losing streak. In their week 5 matchup, QB Paxton Lynch was sacked six times in his first NFL start; he also fumbled twice and threw an interception that set up a Falcons touchdown. The Broncos managed only 267 total yards, with just over half of them coming in the fourth quarter, QB Lynch passed for 223 yards in the NFL picks contest and the Broncos trailed by as much as 17 points in the final quarter. Luckily, for the Denver Broncos, QB Trevor Siemian will return in hopes to prevent yet another loss for the Broncos.
On the flip side of the pig-skin, the Chargers have lost three straight and four of their last five. In their loss to the Raiders last week, the Chargers held a second-half lead for the fifth straight game this season and were unable to prevent their opponents come-back. Philip Rivers passed for a season-high 359 yards and matched a career best four TD passes too four different receivers. Rivers also threw two interceptions among the four turnovers given up by the Chargers, which Oakland capitalized into 14 points.
Our Free NFL Predictions for this Thursday Night Football picks contest is a tough one to make, while it may look obvious that the Broncos are the best selection, we are leaning towards an upset by the Chargers.
