The New York Giants (0-5) will travel to Sports Authority Field in Denver Colorado for a Week 6 matchup against the (3-1) Denver Broncos.
The Broncos had a bye in Week 5 so it's been 14 days off for the team. In Week 4 we saw the Broncos beat the then (2-2) Oakland Raiders at home (10-16). The Broncos QB Trevor Siemian completed 16 of 26 passes for 179 yards and 1 TD. CJ Anderson ran the ball 20 times for 95 yards and Jamal Charles 5 rushes for 33 yards. The receiving side saw Derby with 4 catches for 75 yards and a TD and Fowler with 2 for 35 yards. On the defensive side the Raiders were held to a 16% 3rd down efficiency and a 0% 4th down efficiency. The defense allowed 254 total net yards and had 3 sacks for a loss of 19 yards.
The New York Giants will come to Denver looking for their first win of the 2017 NFL betting season but without Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall and Dwayne Harris who have all undergone surgery for their injuries and are “out for the season”. On Wednesday, we learned that cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was suspended by the team. The Giants have brought back Tavarres King whom they waived on September 18th and have signed Travis Rudolph and Ed Eagan off the practice squad. Roger Lewis Jr is considered the most experienced receiver they have right now. The Giants also have Rhett Ellison and Evan Engram who are tight ends but could line up as wide receiver’s as they did in Week 5.
The Giants and the Broncos have faced each other a total of 12 times including the postseason and although they are very different teams these teams are tied 6-6-0 in the history series.
Can the Giants pull off their first victory of the season? Place your bets and then tune in to NBC for a 8:30 kickoff time on Sunday Night Football.
