Oakland Raiders, listed as the Vegas odds betting favorite, take on the Miami Dolphins in a Sunday Night Football picks contest.
The Raiders were defeated by the Buffalo Bills last week 34-14. The Raiders had 23 first downs, produced 367 all purpose yards and 4 turnovers. Although the Raiders had more 1st downs, less penalties they could not pull out a win. QB Derek Carr threw 31 completed passes for 313 yards and a touchdown. The rushing game totalled only 54 yards. Michael Crabtree was the Raiders leading receiver with 83 yards on 3 catches followed by Washington with 8 receptions for 62 yards. Oaklands defense came up short on sacks and interceptions. The (3-5) Raiders QB knows he and his team need to get back on track. “I’m going to make my corrections. I’m going to get better”, said Carr.
The Miami Dolphins got a spanking by the Baltimore Ravens in week 8. Miami QB Matt Moore threw 25 passes for a total of 176 yards and 2 interceptions. Moore also had 45 rushing yards which showed the coverage the Ravens had on the passers. Ajayi had 23 rushing yards and 18 receiving yards. The Dolphins were forced to punt 8 times during the game. The defense did not have one sack or interception and allowed 40 points by the opponent. The offense could not produce one point during the 60 minutes allowed in regulation.
The Raiders and Dolphins have played 37 times in history including 4 postseason games and the Raiders have the lead at 19-17-1. The NFL odds makers list Oakland as their favorite at -3 (-115) and Miami as the home dog at +3 (-105). The total score is listed as 44 (-110) over/under if that’s your prefered betting way.
Both the Raiders and Miami have been hot and cold this NFL moneyline season. This Sunday night game could be very entertaining if both teams come with their game faces on. Which team do you think will win this matchup?
