Marquardt’s first shot at the middleweight title came at UFC 73, when he was knocked out 4:50 into the first round of his bout with champion Anderson Silva, and you can bet that Marquardt would love another shot at Silva. The winner of this bout is the No.1 contender for the winner of the Silva-Vitor Belfort fight at UFC 126, so he knows what’s at sake. Also, Marquardt is an exciting fighter who always makes it worth the price per head for the fans.

Okami (25-5, nine KOs) is no slouch either as he has plenty of UFC Picks fights under his belt, but this may be his big shot in the UFC. UFC betting odds have Marquardt has a -200 sports betting favorite, while Okami comes in at UFC Odds +175, and Marquardt knows this is probably his last shot to make a run at the middleweight title.  Losing to Silva still burns his soul and he’d love nothing more than to face him again, although we’re sure he owuldn’t bat an eye at going against Belfort if he were to win the title. Okami hasn’t been that good in his last couple of fights, and we’re giving Marquardt the edge because he’s fought better competition, and we think he has the smarts to take the fight to the ground where he is superior to Okami.
