Who will Fight Georges St. Pierre for the Welterweight Title?
Wasn't it just a few months ago that we were tending to think that Georges St. Pierre had expunged the welterweight division of credible title contenders and were advocating he jump ship for middleweight? Reconsider, kids.
With the sudden arrival of Nick Diaz vs. Nate History Rick Marquardt scheduled for this Sunday and Carlos Condit, set in the Dong-Hyun Kim at UFC 132, suddenly 170 pounds is stacked with potential rivals for the French phenomenon Canada. So much so that now it feels like Kim Condit and just about keep pace with the rest of the pack when they meet on July 2.
Although Marquardt and Story are each fairly new additions to the landscape of the welterweight title, it might be hard to deny the winner of Sunday's fight for pole position Díaz-St. Pierre winner. Meanwhile, Condit and Kim were both winning MMA Picks streaks, but each is trying to erase the memories of losses in 2009 - Condit to Martin Kampmann in his Octagon debut, Kim Karo Parisyan in a later episode ruled a no MMA Picks contest .
Also don't forget, and this list doesn't even including Jon Fitch and BJ Penn, who could settle their differences at UFC 138 in San Jose later this year.
