Bruins vs Maple Leafs Highlights and Betting Odds: Game 6 Predictions

NHL Playoffs Betting Odds, Stats & Trends: Boston vs Toronto

Tuukka Rask is back in the net for Game 5 of the best of 7 series, Boston vs Toronto.  To recap how we got where we are today we start with Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.  Boston (-125) took a 1-0 game lead in a 5-1 matchup with 26 saves for Goaltender Tuuka Rask.  Game 2 saw the Bruins win once again at home in a 7-3 odds makers matchup when David Pastrnak scored a natural hat trick.  Game 2 also saw the Maple Leafs (+105) pull their goaltender Frederick Anderson after allowing 3 goals on 5 shots.  Toronto was the stage for Games 3 and 4.  The star for the Maple Leafs in Game 3 was Patrick Marleau who scored two goals on the night.  Auston Matthews scored his first goal of the series and afterwards compared the crowd and players reaction to his goal like "an earthquake".  Anderson had 40 saves in Game 3 and Bruins goaltender Rask had 6 saves.  The Vegas odds makers favorite for Game 6 is listed as the Boston Bruins at -1 1/2 (+225) and the home dog as the Toronto Maple Leafs at +1 1/2 (-265).  The game total is listed at 6(-120)u/ 6(EVEN)o for the over/ under bettor.

Toronto fans were hoping for a repeat of Game 3 when the entered the Arena for Game 4 but that was not the outcome.  Tuukka Rask made 31 saves and pushed the series to 3-1.  Patrice Bergeron did not play but the Bruins showed that they adjust and step up when one of theirs in down.  The TD Garden was the backdrop for Game 5 when the Maple Leafs Frederik Anderson made an astounding 42 saves to help Toronto avoid elimination.  The first period saw the Maple Leafs take an early 2-0 lead and hold on for the win at the final buzzer making the series 3-2 Bruins on top.  Boston had to pull Rask from the net after allowing four goals on 13 shots.  This series is very much like the 2013 series in which Boston was ahead 3-1 then the Maple Leafs tied the series at 3-3 forcing a game 7.   Will the Maple Leafs finish the replay of the 2013 playoffs or go home trying?  The home dog Maple Leafs have the home field advantage for Game 6 but that is the only advantage they will have.
