Thursday Night Football features the Arizona Cardinals vs the San Francisco 49ers in the first of the week 5 NFL odds matchups. The current football betting odds list the Cardinals as the -3(-130) point spreads favorite, with the Over/Under Total posted to 42( ov-110). In addition, the betting trends on the point spread and moneyline is a bit lopsided, showing the football betting public taking the Arizona Cardinals moneyline at 39%, while more bettors are taking the Cardinals with a -3 point spread at 57%.
Both the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers head into this Thursday Night Football picks contest at the bottom of the AFC West with a 1-3 record and coming off losses last week.
Thursday night is a must win for the Cardinals and Carson Palmer has been ruled out, due to the concussion protocol. Palmer suffered a head injury in the Cardinals 17-13 loss to the Rams last week. On a good note for the Cardinals, since 1980, San Francisco is 16-4 in its last 20 home games against the Cardinals and Arizona, previously in 2015, swept the season series from the San Francisco, winning 47-7 at home, and 19-13 at Levi's Stadium.
I really do not have much to say about San Francisco other than you can expect them to fall flat on their faces, I say this specifically because of Kaepernick and the large amount of distraction he has created for the team.
Since Kaepernick has disrespected our flag, the American people, and our National Anthem to push a personal agenda, I have lost all respect for the man and for the team that surrounds him. Without getting into a long debate over this subject, while what he is trying to say may have substance, his approach is disrespectful to all Americans, those that serve now and have in the past. Also, as they say, "there is a time and place for everything" and the sidelines of an NFL game is not the time or place for a player to push an agenda.
Free Thursday Night Football Pick: Arizona -145.
