Thursday Night Football features the undefeated Arizona Cardinals, they play hosts to Aaron Rodgers and the 6-1 green Bay Packers. The Las Vegas spreads show the Packers as the 3.5 point underdogs, the Packers lost their first game of the season and hold the same 6-1 record against the spread. The Cardinals had no trouble putting away the lowly Houston Texans 31-5 this past Sunday as 20-point home favorites – but they’ve beaten some very good teams as well, including the LA Rams (–4 at home) in Week 4. Kyler Murray leads all starting quarterbacks with a 73.5% completion percentage; the Cards’ defense has also excelled in all facets, and they’ve got some of the best special teams in the NFL.
Green Bay’s success is mostly due to their quarterback, reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers. He played through a sore back to lead the Packers to a 24-10 win over Washington (+9 away) on Sunday, throwing for 274 yards and three touchdowns with zero picks. Otherwise, Green Bay’s defense and special teams have been especially poor this year.
